“Craigslist Killer” was a notorious term that has been used to explain how murderers use the site to easily tempt preys and help killing, scams, and the sale of stolen objects.
Advertisements for “adult content” received tremendous disapproval that such ads encouraged prostitution and so was blocked wholly in 2010. Backpage also faced similar allegations in 2011 for adult services on the grounds that it was used for prostitution and human trafficking.
